Kashk (also known as whey, kishk, or chortan) is a traditional Middle Eastern and Central Asian dairy product, typically made from fermented, strained, and dried dairy solids. It is essentially a concentrated, tangy, and salty fermented product often derived from strained yogurt, buttermilk, or the whey left over from cheese-making.  Can be used in smoothies, shakes, soups, sauces, and much more.
